We tipped Egypt and Nigeria as the teams to watch in this years AFCON tournament and so far it looks like things are going to plan.

(at least a little more to plan than Arsenals bid for silverware in the FA Cup!).

Egypt have an interesting fixture against Cameroon and they’ll have their work cut out for them to beat Samuel Etoo and co – however history is on their side with a favourable record to point to.

Nigeria get to take on Zambia and while they haven’t really fired yet, Nigeria showed signs they were starting to click in their last fixture. Might be an interesting one to watch.
